Fundraising at LLSC

Like most non-profit organizations, revenues from registration fees only cover about 50% of our annual expenditures. Fundraising is essential to our club to carry on our operations. In order to generate revenue from other sources, our club requires the swimmers’ participation in the following activities:

2 Raffles: Each swimmer will be asked to sell raffle tickets to help raise money. The first set of raffle tickets will be available at registration and will be for a grocery draw. The second set of raffle tickets will be in the spring and will be a draw for electronic devices.

At Registration, families will be asked to choose one of the following two options:

1) Swimathon: Our annual Swimathon is a provincial fundraiser for all swim clubs in the province and takes place each spring. This is an important event for our club! Swimmers collect pledges for the amount of laps that they swim during the 1½ hour time period, up to a maximum of 200 laps.

OR

2) Tag Day:  Families that do not commit to raising at least $50 for the Swim-a-thon, will be asked to participate in a Tag Day.  If you do not take part in the Tag Day, you will be asked to submit a fundraising cheque for $50.

 

Sponsors: We are seeking sponsorship from community businesses and clubs. The logos of our sponsors will be displayed on our web site and on our meet package when we host a meet. The size of the logo will depend on the sponsorship level ($150, $250 or $500).
